[Toqua OA Chapter] adviser's message

toqua arrowmen -
 
this is to remind you of a couple of things:
 
(1) the chapter gathering Thursday at 7:00 pm, at concord united  methodist 
church on roane drive in farragut.  final plans will be made for  the fall 
fellowship.  there might be campaigning for chapter offices?   have you made up 
your minds what you want to do in the new o. a. year?   everybody should do 
something other than attend stuff, important as that  is.
 
(2) the lodge fall fellowship, beginning Friday evening at camp buck toms  
and continuing until Sunday morning.  come on Saturday morning if you  can't 
make it on Friday evening.  there has been ample opportunity to  pre-register.  
if you didn't, come on anyways and do it there.   if you don't have a ride, 
start bugging the adult o. a. members in your troop -  support of you is their 
main function.   if you still don't come up  with a ride, tell us at the chapter 
gathering - see (1) above.  phone calls  and e-mail messages will work, too.  
election of lodge and chapter officers  will be done at the fellowship.  it 
is important that you do your homework  and vote for the best candidates.  they 
might not be the cool ones or  your best friends - but they might be.  you 
owe it to all of us to make  educated choices.  everybody there will be boy 
scouts, so let's look like  boy scouts (there is no reason to be secretive) and 
wear the appropriate uniform  at the appropriate time.
