[Toqua OA Chapter] chapter meeting

toqua arrowmen -
 
our scheduled business meeting is thursday, august 14th, at concord united  
methodist church, 11020 roane drive in farragut.  meeting time is 7:00  pm.  
wear THE uniform, with sash.  let's have a big crowd!
 
we just had the fall (or summer?) ordeal at camp pellissippi, and inducted  
several new members.  (they are members now, not candidates).  an  attempt has 
been made to get all of the new members' addresses into the  mailing list for 
this publication so they will receive this  message.  if you got it, take a 
minute and reply to me.  (that's  all of you - not just the new members).  let's 
also try word-of-mouth  advertising, the very best form.
 
whatever the rest of the Thursday's meeting agenda might look like, i  want 
to have a short session with the new and almost new members, maybe  after the 
meeting closes with the o. a. song, which all of you should  learn.  learn the 
obligation, too.  guys, bring your handbooks,  please.    
 
this o. a. year is coming to a close.  new lodge officers and chapter  
officers will be elected at the fall fellowship at camp buck toms on the  week-end 
of September 5-7.  PLAN TO BE THERE.  start thinking about  what you want to do 
next year.  maybe our chapter chief will let you  announce your intentions of 
seeking a leadership position, elected or appointed,  in toqua chapter 
pellissippi lodge, at our chapter meeting thursday.   that could properly be done in 
the "new business" section of the meeting.
