read the forwarded message.  i have been asked to do something about  this 
problem, and i am concerned about it.  i constantly urge toqua  arrowmen to set 
the standard in the wearing of the complete, proper,  uniform.  all i know to 
do now is to appeal again to arrowmen to  wear the uniform, including the 
sash, properly and proudly.  all  arrowmen have had the wearing of the sash 
explained to them at their  ordeals and should know not show up for their eagle 
boards or any other activity  in which they are not representing the order of the 
arrow wearing the sash,  whether properly or improperly.  
 
i think the problem goes much further than the wearing of the o. a. sash to  
eagle boards.  many, if not most, scouts and adults attend scouting  
activities wearing only the khaki shirt with blue jeans, athletic  shorts, or other 
unauthorized attire, as is apparently acceptable in  their units.  i think this 
problem is much more serious than the wearing of  the sash to district eagle 
boards and should be addressed by troop leadership,  both youth and adult, as 
this is where the problem originates and where the  solution lies.
 
in conclusion, toqua arrowmen, youth and adult, i again urge you to set the  
example by wearing the appropriate scout uniform to all scouting  activities, 
including troop meetings, and to urge all members of  your troops to do the 
same.
